潛點介紹
鋼鐵礁位於綠島的南側，在龜灣海域與大白砂海域之間，距離馬蹄橋約250公尺外的海域，是一座用鋼鐵打造的人工魚礁。由漁業署於西元2004年移動到這個約31米深的砂質海床上，目的為了增進海洋生物的繁殖與棲息。現今已成為國內外潛客，來綠島必須朝聖的潛點之一。
鋼鐵礁一共有四座，長寬各自約為10公尺，礁底約為31M，礁頂約為20米，此處恰是黑潮會經過的地點，吸引許多海洋生物在此定居，大部分的時候，能見度平均都有20M以上，有時能見度更高達30M。常見海洋生物: 成群的燕魚、擬羊魚、海龜、鶯歌等。礁體上遍布各種珊瑚與海綿。
Located on the southern side of Green Island, the Iron Reef is a massive artificial fish reef constructed from steel. It was relocated in 2004 with the primary goal of enhancing marine reproduction and habitat. Today, it has become a "must-visit" pilgrimage site for both domestic and international divers visiting Green Island. The site consists of four steel structures, each measuring approximately 10x10 meters. The bottom of the reef sits at 31 meters, while the top reaches up to 20 meters. Situated directly in the path of the Kuroshio Current, the area attracts a vast array of marine life. In most conditions, the visibility averages between 20 to 30 meters.
⚠️ Important Safety Notes: Due to its distance from the shore and the consistent presence of currents, boat diving is highly recommended. Given the significant depth, scuba divers are required to hold a Deep Diving or Advanced Open Water (AOW) certification.
